Maritime Security & Ports

Schleswig-Holstein has significant ports on the North Sea and Baltic Sea – from the Port of Kiel to Lübeck-Travemünde and the Port of Flensburg. In addition, there are shipyards, ferry terminals, and offshore infrastructure. We conduct ISPS-compliant explosive detection dog checks and provide preventive security for port facilities, ships, and terminals.

Schleswig-Holstein is home to significant critical infrastructures: the Brunsbüttel nuclear power plant (decommissioning), LNG terminals, wind farms on the North and Baltic Seas, and energy pipelines. As a transit country between Germany and Scandinavia, transport infrastructures are also of particular importance. We support critical infrastructure operators with preventive security.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you secure Kieler Woche?
Yes. The Kiel Week is one of Germany's largest public events, attracting around three million visitors. We create a site-wide security concept, conduct preventive sweeps, and maintain a discreet presence during the event. For events of this magnitude, we recommend contacting us several months in advance.
Can you secure ports and shipyards in compliance with ISPS?
Yes. We conduct ISPS-compliant explosive detection dog screenings in ports and on vessels. Our teams are familiar with the requirements of the ISPS Code and coordinate with harbor masters, shipping companies, and security officers. We secure vessels, containers, terminals, and port facilities.
Can you secure the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Lübeck?
Yes. We secure churches, historical buildings, and UNESCO World Heritage sites with special care – discreetly, without disrupting visitor flow. We coordinate in advance with city management and adapt the deployment concept to the specific requirements.
How quickly can you be operational in Schleswig-Holstein?
Schleswig-Holstein is farther from our Harz location – we estimate approximately 3–4 hours of travel time for Kiel and Lübeck. Therefore, we recommend a lead time of at least 72 hours for all assignments in Schleswig-Holstein. For major events such as Kieler Woche, we coordinate logistics significantly earlier.
Can you also be used on Sylt or Fehmarn?
Yes. For island assignments on Sylt, Fehmarn, or other Schleswig-Holstein islands, we plan travel accordingly – by ferry or causeway crossing. We recommend a lead time of at least one week for island assignments so that logistics and accommodation can be coordinated.
